The OPPO Find X7 Ultra has a curved screen and a premium feel with its vegan leather back. The front design looks good too. The branding and cameras by Hasselblad are the same, and I like the design because it looks more like a camera now. The camera module is very big, which I love. All models have the same vegan leather design, and they look beautiful.
When you hold the phone, it feels very expensive and premium. It is a bit heavy and chunky, but the in-hand feel is excellent.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra Display:
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra has a beautiful and bright display with 4500 nits of brightness. This high brightness ensured no visibility issues outdoors. It features a 6.82-inches LTPO AMOLED curved screen with 2K resolution.
Also, this display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, offering a high-quality viewing experience expected from a flagship phone. It also has Pro XDR support, allowing you to see the full 4500 nits brightness. Overall, the display is top-notch and truly flagship-level.

Now, let’s discuss ColorOS, which is similar to OxygenOS and I find it appealing. However, the Chinese variant comes with many third-party apps and permissions. When the global variant launches, it will likely be different, with fewer pre-installed apps. Despite this, you can uninstall many third-party apps from the Chinese version if needed.
Performance Overview of OPPO Find X7 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor:
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra is one of the first phones with the 8th Gen 3 processor. It also has a dedicated security chip, adding an extra layer of protection alongside the 8th Gen 3 processor.
Compared to the 8th Gen 2, there’s a 25-30% improvement in performance, which is significant. One thing I really liked about these 8th Gen 3 flagship phones is the AI, thanks to the NPU. It’s based on TSMC’s 4NM fabrication, which is power-efficient, but the AI makes a big difference. Performance doesn’t rely solely on the CPU.
In terms of memory and storage, the base variant has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and it goes up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Find X7 Ultra has LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and the 8th Gen 3 processor. When RAM, ROM, and CPU are all powerful, you get top-level performance.
CPU Performance: When it comes to OPPO phones, the focus is more on battery efficiency. We tested the CPU throttle by running it for 30 minutes with 40 cores, and we found a throttle score of 63-64%, which is average and not particularly great.
However, in real-world usage, especially when playing demanding games like Genshin Impact, BGMI and Warzone, the performance is excellent. We consistently achieved frame rates above 59-60 FPS even after playing for an hour. After playing continuously for 1.5-2 hours, there were occasional drops to 3-4 FPS, but nothing major.
So, despite the CPU throttle test showing 63-65% throttling, the phone delivers flagship-level performance in real-world scenarios, handling heavy tasks smoothly.
GPU Performance: Now, let’s discuss the GPU performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While flagship CPUs like the 8th Gen and 7th Gen are important, the GPU makes a significant difference in overall performance, especially for graphics.
In our testing using the 3DMark Wildlife test, the GPU scored 70%, showcasing excellent graphics performance. As for thermals, we played games for 30 minutes and up to an hour, and the temperature reached around 46-47 degrees Celsius. Typically, overheating is considered when temperatures exceed 49 degrees, but the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 didn’t exceed this limit.
AnTuTu Benchmark: In terms of performance benchmarks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is quite powerful. On paper, the 8th Gen 3 chipset scores above 2 million in the AnTuTu benchmark. Specifically, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra, powered by this processor, achieves scores above 2.1 million in AnTuTu tests.
These scores highlight the processor’s ability to handle demanding tasks and ensure a smooth experience with high-end apps and games.
AI Benchmark: AI technology is widely used now, so we also tested its performance. Similar to AnTuTu for overall performance, there’s AITutu specifically for AI. In our tests, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 1.4 million in AITutu, which is quite impressive.
Whether in real-world use or synthetic benchmarks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 showed excellent performance.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra Camera:
The camera on the OPPO Find X7 Ultra is truly impressive. Throughout the years, OPPO’s Find X series has been known for its exceptional cameras, and the Find X7 Ultra takes it to the next level. It features a quad-camera setup with a 50MP main rear camera. The primary sensor is the Sony LYT-900, and there’s also a Sony LYT-600 ultrawide sensor. Additionally, it includes two telephoto sensors: a 3X zoom and a 6X zoom, both using Sony’s IMX 890 and IMX 858 sensors, respectively.
We extensively tested the camera, especially its zoom capabilities, comparing it with the best zoom-equipped phones in the industry. The Find X7 Ultra performs exceptionally well, possibly offering the best telephoto camera experience available. It covers a wide range of focal lengths from 14mm to 270mm, allowing you to capture photos from ultrawide to zoomed in without losing quality, even at 6X zoom.
Beyond specifications, the camera’s post-processing is enhanced by the Hypertone image engine, improving HDR photos by reducing unrealistic effects like bloom.
The camera setup also features Hasselblad branding, offering modes like Portrait mode with options for shooting at 4 different focal lengths: 23mm, 44mm, 65mm, and 135mm. Notably, the X-Pan mode captures wide-angle photos with impressive results, especially in black and white photography.
Instead of Pro Mode, there’s the Master Mode by Hasselblad, allowing you to shoot 16-bit RAW photos for professional-grade editing. For videography, the front-facing 32MP selfie camera supports 4K video recording at 60FPS. Additionally, all five sensors on the rear—ultrawide, telephoto, periscope, and more—can also record in 4K at 60FPS, ensuring high-quality video capture.
